The Register of Categories of Processing Activities (RKCP) is part of the data protection documentation. RKCP is run by the processor. The register is kept separately for each personal data processing process.

The Register of Categories of Processing Activities (RKCP) is documentation for the processor related to the processing of personal data on behalf of other entities. The obligation to maintain a Register of Categories of Processing Activities is, to some extent, related to the obligation of the controller to maintain a register of processing activities.

The Processing Activities Category Register contains elements analogous to those that can be found in the Processing Activities Register. The key difference, however, is that it focuses on personal data processing activities, and more precisely on the categories of those activities that are performed on behalf of the data controller. This type of category reference is less detailed than a direct indication of specific activities.

Due to the fact that the Register of Categories of Processing Activities should carefully specify all categories of processing activities performed on behalf of data controllers, the register and, above all, its content are closely related to the documentation of concluded contracts for entrusting the processing of personal data.

The register of categories of processing activities consists of several permanent elements, which are presented below for your convenience:

• The name and contact details of the processor or processor and any controller on behalf of which the processor acts.
• Categories of processing carried out on behalf of each controller.
• When the transfer of personal data to a third country applies.
• If possible, a general description of the technical and organizational data security measures.
